Directed by RaMell Ross, Nickel Boys takes place at a reform school for young boys in Florida during the early ’60s. The film is told in first-person point-of-view by Elwood (Ethan Herisse) and Turner (Brandon Wilson), as the pair of students trying to live, survive and find happiness in pre-Civil Rights America.
The film also features Hamish Linklater, Fred Hechinger, Daveed Diggs, Jimmie Fails, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor and others. It runs two hours and 20 minutes.
